Galaxy Advertising and Promotions is pleased to announ= ce that the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission has reviewed and found in house Internet sweepstakes programs for businesses using Galaxy’s software = to advertise and promote the sale of alcohol by retailers.  They found they comply with TABC requirements for sweepstakes if they are conducted in accordance with the r= ules submitted.  Budweiser, Miller,= and Coors have used this type of advertising for many years.  The Internet allows small business= es to effectively use advertising methods only available to major corporations in= the past.  Rs= weeps© our copyrighted sweepstakes software allows TABC or other state agency to remotely monitor and track all sweepstakes promotions and transactions if t= hey so desire.

 

Big Johnson’s Beer Garden in = Dallas, Tiki Bay Bar & Grill in Baytown, and The Fillin’ Station in <= st1:City w:st=3D"on">Big Spring have received approval of th= eir sweepstakes advertising program.  Several other sweepstakes have been submitted to the TABC for review.  Customer’s who purchase designated drinks or packages of beer receive an entry into the sweepstakes with their purchase. 

 

There is an alternative method to enter the sweepstake= s for those who wish to enter without making a purchase.  There is no consideration for the = chance to win a prize because there is no required purchase.  This distinguishes sweepstakes from gambling.  This allows sweepst= akes programs like Mc Donald’s, Coke, Snickers, Maxwell House and hundreds= of other businesses and nonprofit organizations to award cash prizes as incent= ives to encourage customers to purchase their product or make a donation. 

 

Our sweepstakes software allows small businesses to op= erate a website and provide wireless internet access for its customers.  As an additional convenience to customers, computers are available to access the internet allowing the busi= ness to offer other sweepstakes to advertise and promote the sale of other products.  This also allows customers to enter the sweepstakes at the retailer’s location, at hom= e, or anywhere internet access is available.
